Coastal Brides employ a photojournalistic style, sometimes called "reportage" or "documentary" style photography. We are dedicated to documenting events as they unfold, with a relaxed and natural approach, unobtrusively capturing the details of your wedding day.
Our aim when photographing a wedding is to produce natural, elegant, timeless images that capture the essence of the occasion without being intrusive.
Of course no wedding would be complete without at least a handful of formal shots and for these we work quickly and effectively with minimal interruption to your day's proceedings.
Coastal Brides are totally committed to your wedding and Steve Hodgson will have personal responsibility for all aspects of your photography and album design, offering a friendly and relaxed service with a wide range of products to suit all tastes.
Steve is an experienced full-time professional photographer using professional cameras, lenses and lighting. He carries backup equipment in case of unexpected breakdowns and has all of the relevant professional insurances. He is also a member of the SWPP (Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers), an association with a strict Code of Ethics that is rigidly enforced to ensure the consumer is not only hiring a talented photographer, but also one with impeccable business practices.
Steve regularly photographs weddings at Butley Priory, Thorpeness Country Club, Elms Barn, The Swan Hotel in Southwold and Fritton House Barn, as well as having covered weddings at numerous other venues throughout Suffolk, Norfolk and London, including Ickworth House nr Bury St Edmunds, Voewood House nr Holt, Congham Hall nr Kings Lynn, St Peters Hall nr Bungay, St. Giles House Hotel in Norwich and The Southbank Centre, London to name just a few of the better known venues.
